Frequently Asked Questions
With proper sizing, you can typically expect a heat pump to keep your pools water around 15 degrees above the ambient air temperature.
FibroPool heat pumps will work best with outside temperatures of 60 degrees or above. As the temperature gets lower, the efficiency and performance of the unit will be reduced.
The internal flow sensor on our units requires at least 25 gallons per minute to keep the unit on. For most pool setups this will require a circulating pump with around 1/3 horsepower.
All FibroPool heat pumps are compatible with both fresh and saltwater pools. During installation, make sure your heat pump is installed upstream of your salt cell or inline chlorinator with a check valve installed between them to prevent any backflow into the unit.
