Plug & Play Installation

Frequently Asked Questions

With proper sizing, you can typically expect a heat pump to keep your pools water around 15 degrees above the ambient air temperature.

FibroPool heat pumps will work best with outside temperatures of 60 degrees or above. As the temperature gets lower, the efficiency and performance of the unit will be reduced.

The internal flow sensor on our units requires at least 25 gallons per minute to keep the unit on. For most pool setups this will require a circulating pump with around 1/3 horsepower.

All FibroPool heat pumps are compatible with both fresh and saltwater pools. During installation, make sure your heat pump is installed upstream of your salt cell or inline chlorinator with a check valve installed between them to prevent any backflow into the unit.

    Glad I bought it.

It is great. Live in Canada. Currently gets down to 5 degrees Celsius (40F) at night and 23 (73F) during the day. But the pool water get's to 81F by 3 in the afternoon.

    Works great!

So far this heater has extended my pool season a whole extra month and still warm enough to add another month if it keeps heating the way it has been.

    Love my heater!!

Easy to install. My water stays at 86 degrees. Expensive but worth it to use the pool in a.m. and p.m. when I am available instead of when sun is out.

Works well but minor shipping damage

Heated out above ground pool from 46 (ground water temp) to 81 degrees Fahrenheit in 48 hours. Very quiet.

Some dents to the mounting plates and one panel with a missing screw from shipping I assume.

Works great to heat up our 18' pool

We received the FH135 and beyond a slightly bent foot (which we were able to bend back into shape) and a couple of screws that had come loose, it arrived mostly undamaged. We connected the hoses and plugged it in to our 20amp outdoor outlet and set it running. Within a day or so it was at the temp we had set. It has been warming our pool ever since, the kids say it's like swimming in bath water, they love it. Glad we got this to extend our season a bit here in Minnesota.

    On the fence

After a few days of operation, the 135 model works great. Pros: everything is simple about this model and works as expected. Cons: no heating addendum like the FH120 model that I can tell. For now, I wish I would have went with the 120 model for the purpose of having more temp control.

    We installed our heater 6

We installed our heater 6 days ago. We live in the Pacific Northwest and it's been 75 or lower outside and down to 45 at night. My 8000 gallon above ground pool was up from 64 to 82 in 2 days running about 16 hours a day. I'm currently dialing in an on/off schedule for my pump timer but this heater meets my needs and then some. I also purchased an installation kit and had more than enough to install in about an hour.

My only complaint would be that I am struggling with an unstoppable vibration in the outer casing. If I remove the top cover the vibration goes away and I am certain it is only the cover, not the internal components. Other than that the unit is very quiet.

If you're considering it, do it.
