Heat pump is fantastic, works great easy set up. Only problem is both unions supplied with the unit leak; I had to have my installer come back after I went to pool supply to purchase replacements. Overall cost of the unit was good enough I didn’t mind eating the cost to replace them (without waiting for new ones in the mail/ dealing with customer service etc. ) but point is I shouldn’t have had to.

Work real good,look good and is real quiet. Good price compare with other units.

Recently purchased the FH270 70,000 BTU 240 Volt Swimming Pool Heat Pump for my 15,000 gallon in-ground pool in the state of Massachusetts. The product was packaged well and arrived undamaged. Once the bands were removed, it was easy to slide the cardboard off the heater and pivot that onto the concrete slab I poured. It came with the necessary couplers to plumb it into the PVC pipe (although the threads on the couplers are not standard in case you damage one and need to replace it with another that could be purchased locally ie. Home Depot, etc). Once the unit was wired properly and plumbed, we powered on the breakers for the pool pump and the heater, the heater detected water flowing through the unit and started working with no additional configuration required. I allowed the pump and heater to run continuously for 48 hours to bring the temp of the water from ~68 to 82 in approximately 3 days. I set the temp to 84 and the unit it now maintaining the temp on the regular pump cycle. So far, so good!

I can't believe how well this product works. In less then 48 hours pool temp. Went from 70 to 80 degrees. Running 240 V line was a bit of a challenge but well worth it. Highly recommend this product.
